Dr. Ashwini Kumar Rath is the Founder and CEO at Batoi and is actively involved in strategic affairs and product development. He also serves as a director at companies he co-founded in India and abroad, besides being the Regional Chairman (East) of the ESC. He is a member of different business and academic associations at national and international levels and also serves on executive committees. His research pursuits encompass quantum computing, AI, DevSecOps, and the mathematical sciences. Dr. Ashwini Kumar Rath, born in the state of Odisha, India, pursued his post-graduate education in theoretical physics and earned an advanced diploma in software management. He was a visiting student at several premier research institutions, including the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai; the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune; and the Institute of Physics (IOP), Bhubaneswar, during and after his time at the University of Hyderabad.

In 1998, he was honored with the Best Research Paper Award at the National Conference of the Plasma Science Society of India. He served as the web editor of this national body from 1998 to 1999 while working as a Research Scholar at the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), where his focus was on the theoretical study of the nonlinear statistical behavior of strongly coupled dusty plasmas.

Transitioning to the field of Information Technology, Dr. Rath undertook several software consulting assignments in India and abroad before founding a number of technology startups. He later obtained his doctorate in cybersecurity management, with a specialization in green computing metrics and sustainable practices in DevSecOps.

An accomplished writer, Dr. Rath has authored numerous academic, business, and technical articles featured in reputed journals and magazines. As an articulate and engaging speaker fluent in English, he has addressed various national and international forums.

Dr. Rath is an active member of professional and scientific communities. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society, a life member of the Computer Society of India (CSI), and a member of a local association of amateur astronomers.

Committed to societal development, Dr. Rath has long been involved in social and philanthropic initiatives. He advocates for knowledge-driven, inclusive growth, empowering local communities through education and participation. He serves on the management boards of several prominent private and government educational institutions. In addition, he contributes to policy discussions as a member of leadership groups and think tanks within business associations and government technology advisory committees. He is also a life member of the Blood Donors Council, Indian Red Cross Society, and St. John Ambulance.
